Three Reasons to Activate your RISD Library Account
1. A RISD Library account allows you to borrow materials, renew online, request and put items on hold,
and assign a Deputy Borrower to check out items on your behalf.
2. A RISD Library account is necessary for 24/7 off-campus access to all RISD databases.
How it works:
After selecting a database, the login window opens.
Login using your name as it appears on the front of your RISD ID.
For Barcode, use the 14-digit number located on the back of your RISD ID.
(You'll only need to do this once per browser session)
If you encounter a problem, contact the Research & Instruction Department
3. A RISD Library account will grant you entrance and borrowing privileges at Brown Libraries.
In order to check out items at Brown, you must have a current RISD Library account.
For a full list of faculty privileges and services, see Faculty Borrowing.
