Start with a simple search and build, narrow or refine your search depending on the results.

The phrase "adaptive reuse" can be searched as a Subject.

Be aware the phrase "Adaptive Reuse" is not always used in the body or summary of an article.

 

Use Additional Descriptive Phrases

Add these descriptive phrases in quotes to your keyword or subject search.
"alterations and additions to buildings"
"conversion of buildings"
"mixed use" or "multi use"


Examples:

"mixed use or multi use" + exhibition

"concentration camps" + "alterations and additions"


TYPOLOGY

A building's original typology is retained in adaptive reuse and recorded in the Avery's indexing. Therefore to find sources by typology use the phrase,

"_____  into  ____" to find adaptive reuse by building type.

"hospitals into  ___"
