Once an initial search is done in the RISD/ATH Catalog,

look for the SEARCH BROWN icon on the right-hand side of the screen.

Select

This link will transfer you to Brown's catalog + repeat your search query.

Select Return to Catalog to go back to RISD/ATH.


If RISD/ATH or Brown doesn't have your journal, book or media, fill out an Interlibrary Loan request or Suggest a Purchase.

Brown Visiting Policy

RISD students, staff and faculty may visit Brown's libraries daily until 10pm.
RISD students, staff and faculty will need to sign in at the Circulation desk and be buzzed through the turnstile.
Admittance after 10pm is reserved soley for Brown students. Locations + Hours

Brown Borrowing
In order to check out items at Brown, you must have a current RISD Library account.
Register for a RISD Library Account by visiting the RISD Library Circulation Desk.
Then visit Brown's Rockefeller Library Circulation Desk and present your RISD ID to create a Brown Library account.

RISD Student Borrowing from Brown Library: 5 books for 4 weeks, renewable via My Josiah

Brown's Databases - on site access
RISD students, faculty and staff are granted on-site access to Brown's online databases. Visit a Brown Library to access their databases. 

Printing
Brown uses a print card system similar to RISD's. Unfortunately RISD print cards do not work at Brown. You'll need to purchase a Brown print card to use with their system.
