To Renew your books (videos & dvds cannot be renewed) login to your library account by selecting My Account.

Type in your name as it appears on the front of your RISD ID

For Barcode, type in the 14-digit barcode number on the back of your RISD ID

Sort items by Due date; Select to Renew Marked or Renew All

    

      your new due dates will appear in red

How to Place Holds on checked out books, videos and dvds*


Locate an item by searching the RISD/ATH Catalog. If it's checked out

Select to see if it's available at Brown.

If not, return to the RISD/ATH Catalog.

Select the Request icon at the top of the screen. Fill in the online form.
This will generate a hold on the item and place your name in the hold queue.


Once the item is returned you'll receive an email telling you it's ready for checkout.
It will be held for you at the Circulation Desk for 7 days.

When you activate your library account you'll automatically be signed up for courtesy email notices to be sent to your RISD email.

The notice will remind you that your library items are due in 5 days and will include a link to renew online before they're due.


Contact the Circulation Department to update your email address in your library account.
