Project description

Final Project: Future Vision

For the second half of the semester you will be working on a final project. The project will involve applying the techniques you have used in the first half of the semester to:

  • create a future scenario matrix for a client company
  • build a strategy to prepare the company for future uncertainties
  • create a vision of the company’s future products that live in a future context

The project will be broken up into stages, with presentations at various points as the project progresses. Since the project builds, one phase upon the next, it is very important that your work is consistent throughout. If the early phases are not strong, the later ones will suffer.

Select and research a company (history, product line, consumers, sales figures, global reach, competitors, brand philosophy, market positioning, manufacturing, public relations issues, investors’ analyses, etc). It is essential that you understand these factors so that you can later identify how different future trends might impact your client.
