Book Mender

Job DescriptionBook menders create custom enclosures for selected items in the Library's collections, and learn some book conservation and preservation techniques.

A high degree of proficiency in the techniques learned is expected, as is the ability to work independently and efficiently.  You will gain a basic understanding of the underlying principles of book conservation, book construction and their applications.  Attention to detail is essential. Preference will be given to freshmen and sophomores.

Shifts Available: Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm

Book Processor

Job Description: This position involves preparing new books and other library materials for the libraries collection. The position may also includes other duties such as searching gift books in the library catalog, withdrawing materials from the collection, and searching book prices on book dealer websites. Attention to detail is essential.

Shifts AvailableMonday through Friday, 9am to 4pm
