GIFT ACCEPTANCE PROCESS

You must complete a Donor Record Form with an inventory list, before your gift will be considered. Your submission of the Donor Record Form acknowledges that all gifts are deemed the property of Rhode Island School of Design and may be sold, offered to other libraries, or otherwise disposed of at the Library’s discretion. The Fleet Library is committed to providing socially and environmentally responsible disposition of materials.

If we are interested in accepting any items from your offered gift, you will receive further communication from our staff within three to four weeks to arrange delivery, formally acknowledge the gift, and secure a deed of gift, where necessary. The donor is responsible for transporting the donated materials to the Fleet Library and any shipping costs incurred.
