Bird & Bull Press

1958-2014

Henry Morris started his private press due to his interest in hand papermaking.  He went on to publish over seventy five books that were available via subscription.  Many of the titles focused on Chinese, Japanese, and Western papermaking.  Morris used metal type to letterpress print his titles on his own handmade paper.  His books highlight the art of bookmaking from typography to papermaking, preserving an traditional art.

Many of the titles in the case were donated by the family of Joseph Paulsen.
