The Annual Library Staff Art Show
When I came to RISD almost 29 years ago, I was struck by the artistic talent and creativity of the library staff, several of whom were RISD alumni. They, along with other staff members, were drawn to the work because of the creative energy of the students and faculty, not to mention the inspiration of working with art books and pictures every day. I decided that it would be a great idea to showcase their work, and have continued to do so on an annual basis. I started exhibiting my photographs as it was a way that I could be a participant. I've never claimed to be a photographer; I just take pictures. I am immensely proud of the library staff and all that they contribute to the RISD community, and am pleased that we have been exhibiting staff work now for 26 years.
