RISD/ATH Catalog

The Providence Athenaeum & RISD Library share an online catalog and have reciprocal borrowing.
The Athenaeum is located on the corner of College Street and Benefit Street on College Hill.  You must have an up-to-date record and be in good standing with the RISD Library.

College Hill Libraries (CHiL) is an agreement between the RISD Library and the Brown Libraries for borrowing.  You must be in good standing with the RISD Library (owe no fines) and have an up-to-date record. Use your RISD ID at the Brown Libraries to check out books by first registering at Brown's Rockefeller Library.  Once you have a library record at Brown, you may renew items with My Josiah just as you do in the RISD/Ath catalog's My Record.

Search Brown's catalog easily with the link in the RISD/ATH Catalog.
Start with an initial search in the RISD/ATH catalog.
Click on the Search Brown button that appears on the right side of your search result.
This will repeat the search in Brown’s catalog.
To return to the RISD/ATH catalog, click on Return Home.

Providence Public Library is located at 150 Empire St.

Worldcat - searches library catalogs from around the world. Great for building a bibliography. Request items not owned locally through RISD Library's Interlibrary Loan service.
