This exhibit will feature historical documents and photographs from the RISD Archives that highlight the founding of the school. It is planned in conjunction with the launching of a new RISD publication of the same name.

The exhibit will feature 19th century books by John J. Audubon, Alexander Wilson, Charles Lucien Bonaparte, among others, on loan to the Fleet Library at RISD from the Audubon Society of Rhode Island. Also included will be 20th century RISD student drawings of birds and animals and taxidermy specimens from the Edna Lawrence Nature Lab collections.

Including work by Allison Cole, Cybele Collins, Jo Dery, C.F., Leif Goldberg, Carlos Gonzalez, and James McShane

The exhibit will focus on three areas: what is camouflage?; dazzle camouflage; and Rhode Island School of Design student work involving camouflage.
