Open Access
Traditionally, scholars publish articles in elite journals that charge for access to articles. The open access (OA) movement aims to minimize the impact of money on what is published and read, making access to peer-reviewed journals more equitable. Though OA scholarship exists in many areas of study, a deep area of focus and activism for OA is the sciences.
