Scholarly Sources

Scholarly sources are often required for academic papers. They are written by scholars, for other academics. They are generally very trustworthy, authoritative sources.

Popular Sources

Popular sources include "everything else," from Youtube videos to newspapers. They are aimed at a general audience (not just scholars) and don't go through the same "peer review" process. But they can still be valuable information sources, when used thoughtfully!
