Finding Images Tutorial

4) View the Finding Images tutorial linked on this page.

Find images by a) using a RISD Library online image database or b) visiting the RISD Library Picture Collection.

a. Use one of RISD Library’s Online Image databases to search for images on your topic. Download at least one image to your computer. What keywords did you use to search? What search results did you get? What alternate or related terms did you try?

b. Go to the Picture Collection (RISD Library, 2nd floor) and find 3-4 images related to your topic.

Bring the images to class. What folders did you search? Under what subjects did you look? Did the Picture Collection staff recommend other subject folders for you to search?
