Visual Resources staff offer training and advice to faculty and students on all aspects of sourcing and using digital images for classroom use. Individual or group sessions can be arranged for training in the use of our Online Image Databases as well as presentation tools such as Powerpoint and Keynote.
The Center also offers digital imaging services, which allow faculty to digitize or order digital images that are not available from RISD’s online databases or processable via self-service. Faculty can submit orders of no more than 100 images to the VMRC at vmrc@risd.edu. A variety of media formats can be digitized by request including 35mm slides, lantern slides, standard 35mm and oversize negatives, positive images, 3D objects, posters, VHS tapes, audio cassette tapes, and DVDs. Digitization will be processed in one week, and delivered to the faculty member in whichever format was requested. More Information.
